Cymbeline is a play by Shakespeare.
Cymbeline is the king of Britain. His Queen died, and his two sons
were captured when the eldest was 3. Imogen is his only daughter. Her mother died when she was young, and
she marries Posthumus Leonatus, who grew up with her.The King
wanted her to marry Cloten, son to present Queen by a former husband.
The King is mad, and he banishes Posthumus Leonatus, and Imogen is in
all but name a prisoner. Posthumus flees, and draws his sword on Cloten,
with no harm done. The queen is pretending to help Imogen, but is
really helping the King.
